Diagnostic Testing: Notes

When trouble shooting transmission, first check for stored trouble codes and repair as necessary. If no trouble codes exist, perform manual shifting test to determine if problem area is in electrical circuits or a mechanical transmission problem. Refer to MANUAL SHIFTING TEST  under TRANSMISSION SHIFT TESTING.
