- Place switch in ON position. Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 2, 3 and 6. See Fig 1. Place switch in OFF position, continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2, 3 and 6. Continuity should exist at all times between terminals No. 1 and 4 (indicator light). If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.
- Connect battery voltage to terminal No. 2 and ground to terminal No. 3. Connect 3.4-watt test light between terminals No. 2 and 6. Place switch in ON position. Ensure test light lights for 12-18 minutes and then goes out. If switch does not operate as specified, replace switch.
