Fuel Gauge Test

  1. Disconnect harness connector from fuel gauge sending unit. Connect terminals No. 3 and 4 through a 3.4-watt test bulb. See Fig 1. Turn ignition on.
  2. Test bulb should light and fuel gauge needle should move toward "F" mark. If operation is not as specified, check fuel gauge resistance. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals. See FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE TEST  table. See Figure.
NOTE: Fuel gauge needle may take a few moments to stabilize.

"B"-"C" 169
