P05C0-4B: Active Grille Air Shutter Module "A" Over Temperature - Over temperature: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- During actuator operation, internal electronics temperature is continuously monitored
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Check there is not any obstruction preventing active grille air shutter movement
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the active grille air shutter circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the active grille air shutter actuator
- Install new active grille air shutter, only when diagnosed as failed
