Pinpoint Test C: Check The (Chassis) Signal/Circuit(S) To The

  1. C1: CHECK THE (CHASSIS) H CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE 
    1. Disconnect PSCM electrical connector C1CS05B.
    2. With the ignition OFF, measure the voltage between the PSCM  electrical connector C1CS05B pin 5 (BU), harness side and ground.

    3. With the ignition ON, measure the voltage between the PSCM  electrical connector C1CS05B pin 5 (BU), harness side and ground.

      Is the voltage 2.5 volts with the ignition OFF and 3.5 volts with the ignition ON?

      Yes:  GO to  C2.

      No:  GO to  C3.

  2. C2: CHECK THE (CHASSIS) L CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE 
    1. With the ignition OFF, measure the voltage between the PSCM  electrical connector C1CS05B pin 2 (BU-GN), harness side and ground.

    2. With the ignition ON, measure the voltage between the PSCM  electrical connector C1CS05B pin 2 (BU-GN), harness side and ground.

      Is the voltage 2.5 volts with the ignition OFF and 1.5 volts with the ignition ON?

      Yes:  If directed to this pinpoint test from the DTC  Index - PSCM  , then continue with the Action list Step(s).

      No:  GO to  C4.

  3. C3: CHECK THE (CHASSIS) H CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN C1CS05B AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR C2BP01H 
    1. Disconnect BCM electrical connector C2BP01H.

      NOTE: Make sure to zero out the resistance of multimeter test leads before carrying out any other resistance checks.
    2. Measure the resistance between the PSCM  electrical connector C1CS05B pin 5 (BU), harness side and BCM  electrical connector C2BP01H pin 44 (BU), harness side.

      Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

      Yes:  If directed to this pinpoint test from the DTC  Index - PSCM  , then continue with the Action list Step(s).

      No:  REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. If the wiring harness is OK, Refer to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

  4. C4: CHECK THE (CHASSIS) L CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN C1CS05B AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR C2BP01H 
    1. Disconnect BCM electrical connector C2BP01H.

      NOTE: Make sure to zero out the resistance of multimeter test leads before carrying out any other resistance checks.
    2. Measure the resistance between the PSCM  electrical connector C1CS05B pin 2 (BU-GN), harness side and BCM  electrical connector C2BP01H pin 45 (BU-GN), harness side.

      Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

      Yes:  If directed to this pinpoint test from the DTC  Index - PSCM  , then continue with the Action list Step(s).

      No:  REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. If the wiring harness is OK, Refer to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
