DTC P0702-04: Transmission Control System Electrical - System internal failures: Action
- Prioritised steps to perform:
- Check battery charge and condition. Record the observed values
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, read all Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and investigate any Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) relating to battery voltage supply
- Inspect the transmission connector(s) for signs of water ingress, pin damage and/or corrosion. Rectify as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check datalogger signal - Main ECU Supply Voltage (0xD112)
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams, record the observed values for the transmission control module VBATT, ground and IGN circuits then check for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, reconfigure the transmission control module with the latest level software
- Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
