DTC B1462-02: Right Latch - Claw Switch - General signal failure: Action

Check the operation of the latch for open/close. If latch opens, then refer to diagnostic steps below
Refer to the appropriate service information and check the lower tailgate right ajar switch circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair circuit as required, clear DTC and retest
If fault persists, check and install a new lower tailgate right latch as required
If the latch is stuck closed, reset the tailgate control module to force the soft close actuator to rewind. Clear DTC and retest
If the fault persists and the latch remains stuck closed, check and install a new lower tailgate right soft close actuator as required
