The presence of CAN errors and loss of CAN data from the anti-lock brake system control module may result in other powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) which may require appropriate investigation PRIOR to specifically investigating this fault

- Prioritised Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the powertrain control module for related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the high speed CAN bus (powertrain) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the anti-lock brake system control module for related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to the relevant DTC index
