DTC B111A-11: Number Plate Lamps - Circuit short to ground: Action

NOTE:

After making sure any faults have been repaired, inspect if DTC U1000-00 is stored in the BCM . If yes, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run the application 'Ignition cycle counter reset' from ECU Diagnostics - Body Control Module (BCM) - ECU Functions. The application re-enables the output and allows successful validation of the repair using the recommended method
To validate the repair use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to perform the routine - On Demand Self Test. If the repair is successful this DTC will no longer be set. Then check the license plate lamp function with the engine running and use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check that the DTC is no longer set in the body control module

Replace the license plate lamp bulb (where installed)
Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the license plate lamp circuit for short circuit to ground. Repair the wiring harness or install a new license plate lamp as necessary
