External Controls (G2348431): Overview
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The external controls for the automatic transmission comprise a Transmission Control Switch (TCS), 2 paddle switches and an Emergency Park Release (EPR) assembly.
The TCS transmits driver transmission selections to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The paddle switches allow the driver to initiate gear shifts in the following transmission modes:
- DRIVE
- SPORT
- SPORT manual command shift.
The EPR system makes sure that the transmission disengages from PARK during vehicle recovery operations.
