Pinpoint Test C: Engine Compartment System Battery Check
- C1: CHECK BATTERY CONDITION WARNING: Make sure that the key switch on the control box is in the OFF/CHECK position, before starting the test
- To check battery condition, press and hold the red BATTERY CHECK switch on the control module's panel. The following LED responses can be seen:
Is the flashing yellow light on?
Yes: Indicates that the batteries are in a good state of charge.
No: Indicates that the battery is low in charge, replace the battery. For additional information, refer to the appropriate service information.
- C2: CHECK BATTERY CONDITION NOTE: Make sure that the key switch on the control box is in the OFF/CHECK position, before starting the test
- To check battery condition, press and hold the red BATTERY CHECK switch on the control module's panel. The following LED responses can be seen:
Is the flashing weak yellow light on?
Yes: Indicates that the batteries are low in charge, replace the batteries. For additional information, refer to the appropriate service information.
No: GO to C3.
- C3: ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY WARNING: Make sure that the key switch on the control box is in the System Inactive position, before starting the test.
- Press the 'GREEN' fire suppression switch, mounted in the floor console.
Is the red flashing light on and the speaker emitting a pulsing tone?
Yes: Indicates good electrical continuity. No further action.
No: Refer to the appropriate service information and check the fire suppression switch circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair circuit as required.
If that concludes the check procedure. Turn the key to the 'System Armed' position and remove the key.
