DTC B1026-11: Steering Column Lock - Circuit short to ground: Action

NOTE:

After making sure any faults have been repaired, inspect if DTC U1000-00 is stored in the Body Control Module (BCM). If yes, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run the application 'Ignition cycle counter reset' from ECU Diagnostics - Body Control Module (BCM) - ECU Functions. The application re-enables the output and allows successful validation of the repair using the recommended method
To validate the repair firstly run the engine for at least 60 seconds, then use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) within the body control module. If the repair is successful this DTC will no longer be set

Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the electric steering column lock control module power and ground circuits for short circuit to ground. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
