DTC P183A-77: Range Change Mechanism Failure - Commanded position not reachable: Action
- Using Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform the Transfer Case Healthcheck Application. The application will subsequently test the system and report a DTC if a fault persists
- Start the engine and, using Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, read the DTCs. If the fault persists, install a new transfer case control module and configure as a new module. Refer to the Transfer Case Control Module Replacement instructions in the relevant Diagnosis and Testing Section For additional information, Refer to: the appropriate service information.

If the fault persists, contact Dealer Technical Support to seek approval for replacement of the transfer case prior to exchanging the unit. NOTE: The transfer case is supplied with a TCCM already fitted and calibrated. Thus, there is no calibration work necessary.
