SERVICE INFORMATION
Immediately upon identifying a compromised, displaced battery module, the below guidance must be followed:
- MUST be stored outdoors
- MUST be placed in a suitable hazardous waste disposal bag to prevent water ingress (see attachment 1). Clearly label the exterior of the bag to identify the contents
- MUST be stored 5m clear from any combustible materials
- MUST be 2.5m away from any internal walls/structural steels
- The area MUST be segregated with clear signage, restricting unauthorized access to untrained individuals
The above guidance is subject to any local legal requirements which MUST always be complied with.
The above guidance takes precedence over any existing guidance already published within the TOPIx
Warranty manual regarding the immediate actions to be taken in relation to compromised displaced battery modules.
For onwards shipping requirements, follow your local transportation of dangerous goods legislation and seek additional guidance as necessary.
