DTC P07B3-11: Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Low - Circuit short to ground: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Check the startup battery charge and condition and record values
- Read all DTCs and investigate any DTCs relating to startup battery voltage supply or vehicle charging system. Rectify as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for other transmission related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Check the security and integrity of the transmission ground point and check resistance from transmission ground to vehicle ground. Rectify as required
- Check the transmission connector(s) for damage and/or water ingress and rectify as required
- Check the transmission VBATT and IGN circuits to confirm an appropriate voltage supply to transmission connector. Rectify as required
- Check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 8-speed ZF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application. Refer to the relevant service information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality For additional information, Refer to: TRANSMISSION OIL COLOR CHART If the transmission fluid condition is unsatisfactory, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
- Clear the DTC. Start the vehicle and allow to reach normal operating temperature while engaging and disengaging Park with the gear selector several times
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
