DTC U0588-2F: Invalid Data Received From Transmission Fluid Pump Module - Signal erratic: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Check startup battery charge and condition and record values
- Make sure the hybrid/EV battery pack is fully charged and rectify as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for other transmission related DTCs and perform the relevant corrective actions
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for LIN network related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index. Rectify these DTCs first
- Visually inspect the electric automatic transmission fluid pump harness and connector(s) for signs of damage, water ingress, pin damage and/or corrosion. Rectify as required
- Check the security and integrity of the transmission ground point and check the resistance from the transmission ground to the vehicle ground. Rectify as required
- Check the security and integrity of the electric automatic transmission fluid pump ground point and check the resistance from the electric automatic transmission fluid pump GND to the vehicle ground. Rectify as required
- Check the electric automatic transmission fluid pump KL15 circuit for voltage supply. Rectify as required
- Clear the DTC. Perform a road test of sufficient duration to allow the vehicle to reach normal operating temperature. Recheck DTCs
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
