Transmission Control Switch (G2391383): Installation

  1. NOTE: Take care not to damage the wiring harness when installing the TCS  .
    • Connect the electrical connector.
    • Install the TCS  .
    • Install and tighten the 4 screws.

      Torque  : 3.2 Nm 

    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
    • Install the trim panel.
    • Install the trim panel to the 2 clips.
    • Install and tighten the 2 screws.
  4. CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.
    • Install the instrument panel lower surround to the 10 clips.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.
    • Install the instrument panel outer side trim.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
  6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  7. Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to configure the new Gear Shift Module (GSM).
