DTC P2787-9A: Clutch Temperature Too High - Component or system operating conditions: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Make sure the hybrid/EV battery pack is fully charged and rectify as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for other transmission related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for DTCs relating to gear change paddles or gear change switches and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Check for debris blocking the air flow to the automatic transmission cooler. Clear debris as necessary
- Check the condition of the automatic transmission cooling system
- Check the operation of the transmission fluid cooler thermostat. Rectify as required
- Check the operation of the vehicle cooling system. Rectify as required
- Check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 8-speed ZF - Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application. Refer to the relevant service information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality For additional information, refer to: TRANSMISSION OIL COLOR CHART . If condition is unsatisfactory raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
- Clear the DTC. Perform a road test of sufficient duration to allow the vehicle to reach normal operating temperature. Recheck DTCs
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
