DTC P0702-06: Transmission Control System Electrical - Algorithm based failures: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Check startup battery charge and condition. Record values
- Read all DTCs and investigate any DTCs relating to startup battery voltage supply. Rectify as required
- Inspect the transmission harness connector(s) for signs of water ingress and pin damage and/or corrosion
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check datalogger signal - Main ECU Supply Voltage (0xD112)
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams, check the transmission control module VBATT, ground and IGN circuits for open circuit, high resistance and record voltage values. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Visually inspect engine bay wiring and transmission control module ground point for security and integrity. Rectify as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear DTCs and retest
- If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
