ISSUE

JLR is investigating ABS module logging P0120-81.

CAUSE

During a brake over accelerator event as detected by the PCM, throttle pedal plausibility signal is sent as 0 to the ABS and IPMA module.

ACTION

Please Note - 20MY ONLY 

PLEASE NOTE  - This action is currently NOT  applicable to the following engine variants

This procedure requires a minimum of Pathfinder 277 loaded or later. 

  1. Connect the JLR approved battery support unit.
  2. Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new session.
  3. Follow the JLR approved diagnostic equipment prompts.
  4. Select 'ECU Diagnostics'.
  5. Select 'Powertrain Control Module (PCM)'
  6. Select 'Update ECU'.
  7. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task.
  8. When all of the tasks are complete, exit the session.
  9. Disconnect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the JLR approved battery support unit.
