DTC B1207-36: Crash Input Hardwired Signal - Signal frequency too low: Action

NOTE:

If available, perform the guided diagnostics associated with this DTC.
Before a collision, the crash signal has a frequency of 10 Hz ± 10% and a duty cycle of 50% ± 10%.
After a collision, the crash signal alternates between 5 cycles at 500 Hz ± 10% and 5 cycles at 250 Hz ± 10% and has a duty cycle of 50% ± 10%.
The crash signal may reset at the start of the next ignition cycle after a collision.
If the restraints control module has transmitted a genuine crash event signal, this DTC will be set in other control modules (for example, the powertrain control module).

Check the vehicle for impact damage. Rectify as necessary
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the restraints control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the restraints control module power and ground circuits for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the crash signal circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Electric Power Inverter Converter Control Module 'B' (EPICB)/Update ECU
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Restraints Control Module (RCM)/Update ECU
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Electric Power Inverter Converter Control Module 'B' (EPICB)/Clear DTCs. Retest. If the fault persists, raise a Technical Assistance (TA):
- Attach the Pathfinder session file using 'Pathfinder Sessions'
- Use the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) as a reference number in the Customer Comments field
- Describe primary and secondary diagnostics completed
