DTC C200B-31: Steering Shaft Torque Sensor 1 - No signal: Action

NOTE: The torque sensor configuration is dual channel and connected to the primary and secondary controllers. The primary network is controlled by Flexray. The secondary network is controlled by CAN. If this Diagnostic Trouble Code is stored, it is because of a multiple channel failure. The vehicle will not have power steering assistance

Check the torque sensor harness connector for damage, corrosion or damaged pins. Repair/replace any pins or connectors as necessary and retest
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
If this Diagnostic Trouble Code and C200B-01 both reappear:
- Install a new steering gear as required
