Possible Causes
- The powertrain control module detected an internal temperature above the expected range
- Connector is disconnected, connector terminal is backed out, connector terminal corrosion
- Variable oil pump circuit, short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Variable oil pump failure
