DTC B1316-02: Boot/Trunk Latch Power Close Unit - General signal failure: Action

- Check the upper tailgate for obstructions, remove obstructions. Carry out reset to home position and retest
- Refer to the appropriate service information and check the upper tailgate soft close actuator home position switch circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair circuit as required, clear DTC and retest
- If fault persists, check and install a new upper tailgate soft close actuator as required. Clear DTC and retest
