DTC U0001-81: High Speed CAN Communication Bus - Invalid serial data received: Action

NOTE:
  • Do NOT replace any Control Modules just on the basis of this DTC
  • Guided Diagnostics must be followed and the repair advised by the process completed. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of any warranty claim made
  1. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the snapshot data to determine the invalid data source control module. Check datalogger signal - Network Operating System ECU Local Signal Handle (0xD020). Refer to - Datalogger Signal 0xD020 - In portion 211-00 Diagnosis and Testing of the appropriate service information. Check other modules for the same DTC indicating a fault in the wiring harness and/or incompatibility in the software version
  2. Refer to the appropriate service information and check the high speed CAN bus (chassis) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Refer to - Power Steering Control Module Circuit Checks - In portion 211-00 Diagnosis and Testing of the appropriate service information for connector and circuit information
