DTC P074A-68: Unable To Engage Gear 2 - Event Information: Action
NOTE:
- Shift solenoids 1 and 2 resistance specification is 11 to 15 ohms at 20°C.
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagram and check the shift solenoid circuits for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Refer to Pinpoint Test D in the automatic transmission Diagnosis and Testing section of the service information and proceed as directed
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagram and check the pressure control solenoid circuits for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Refer to Pinpoint Test E in the automatic transmission Diagnosis and Testing section of the service information and proceed as directed
- Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault persists, install a new transmission control module
- Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault persists, install a new automatic transmission
