ISSUE

Pathfinder fails to program the key with error message on a red background:

CAUSE

The button on the keyfob is pressed before the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) is ready to receive the signal.

ACTION

  1. Run the application "Add additional keys"
  2. Continue to the screen "Make sure the key is inside the vehicle and the unlock button press is completed within 5 seconds after pressing the next button"
  3. Ensure the Key Fob is inside the vehicle
  4. Press Next, Do not press the unlock button yet 
  5. Wait  until the pop up appears with the heading "Press and release the remote unlock switch on the key fob" and progress bar underneath
  6. Now press the unlock button on the key fob firmly  for 2 seconds
  7. Continue to follow the prompts to complete the process
  8. In the case of failure please follow the prompts to retry at least 3 times.

NOTE: An improved Pathfinder application is under development to address this issue.
