ISSUE
Pathfinder fails to program the key with error message on a red background:
- "The current chosen key has failed to program to the vehicle"
- "Would you like to retry"
CAUSE
The button on the keyfob is pressed before the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) is ready to receive the signal.
ACTION
- Run the application "Add additional keys"
- Continue to the screen "Make sure the key is inside the vehicle and the unlock button press is completed within 5 seconds after pressing the next button"
- Ensure the Key Fob is inside the vehicle
- Press Next, Do not press the unlock button yet
- Wait until the pop up appears with the heading "Press and release the remote unlock switch on the key fob" and progress bar underneath
- Now press the unlock button on the key fob firmly for 2 seconds
- Continue to follow the prompts to complete the process
- In the case of failure please follow the prompts to retry at least 3 times.

NOTE:
An improved Pathfinder application is under development to address this issue.
