Possible Causes
NOTE:
- Monitor description. If the driver is braking and producing a high brake line pressure while not pressing the accelerator pedal then both brake pedal switches should be on/active. If the brake pedal switches are off/inactive in this condition then the switches have failed and the DTC is set
- This DTC is set when the powertrain control module measures a signal that remains low when transitions are expected.
- Brake pedal switch detached from mounting bracket/pedal box while electrically connected
- Brake pedal switch mounting position incorrectly adjusted
- Brake pedal switch plunger partially stuck in
- Brake pedal switch 1 circuit open circuit, short circuit to power, short circuit to ground
- Brake pedal switch 2 circuit open circuit, short circuit to power, short circuit to ground
