Check engine control module for additional DTCs and refer to relevant DTC index. Rectify these first
Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
Refer to the applicable SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM(S) and check the power and ground connections to the module
Refer to the applicable SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM(S) and check connections are secure and wiring integrity for coolant temperature sensor and ambient temperature sensor
Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system clear all stored DTCs using the `Diagnosis Menu' tab and retest
