- Refer to the applicable SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM(S) and check the engine control module input crash signal circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Refer to the applicable SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM(S) and check the power and ground connections to the module
- Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, check the restraints control module, for related diagnostic trouble codes and refer to the relevant DTC index
