HEADLAMP CONTROL MODULE B (INTERIOR MIRROR) DTCs

DTC	Description	Possible Causes	Action
B1286-16	Interior Mirror - Circuit voltage below threshold	Interior mirror circuit short circuit to ground	Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check interior mirror supply voltage circuit for short circuit to ground Check voltage between pin 1 and pin 3 of the interior mirror connector. The voltage should to be above 8.5 volt for normal condition Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear DTC and retest If DTC is set permanent and voltage is above 8.5 volt. Check and install new interior mirror as required Refer to the warranty policy and Procedures information, or determine if any prior approval program is in operation, prior to the installation of a new module/ component
B1286-17	Interior Mirror - Circuit voltage above threshold	High voltage detected at interior mirror (battery voltage > 16.5 volts)	Refer to the workshop information and the battery care information, inspect the vehicle battery and ensure it is fully charged and serviceable before performing further tests Check the vehicle charging system performance to ensure the voltage regulation is correct Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear DTC and retest
