SERVICE INFORMATION
Symptom 301000 Service Brake System
ISSUE
Excessive brake pedal pressure required to get the auto transmission out of park, warning lights on the instrument pack with associated DTC's for brake light switch (P0504-27, P0504-62, C1A96-64) or brakes showing signs of drag and binding.
CAUSE
Incorrect brake light switch setting.
NOTE:
Analysis of returned brake switches have shown no issues with the brake switch itself. Do not replace the switch before adjustment is carried out.
ACTION
Refer to TOPIx section 303-14 - General Procedures. Brake pedal position switch adjustment, to ensure that the brake light switch is correctly set prior to any other rectification being carried out.
