Resetting Oil Level Display

NOTE: Ensure engine is warmed-up (10 min.). Allow 5 minutes after engine shut-off before resetting display.
  1. Ensure transmission in Park (P), and engine compartment hood open.
  2. Turn ignition ON (engine OFF).
  3. Press the OK button of the INSTRUMENT PANEL MENU CONTROL. See Figure.
  4. Use directional button to select SERVICE MENU. Press OK.
  5. Use directional button to select OIL LEVEL. Press OK.
    NOTE: Ensure oil level is showing the correct oil level. If oil level needs to be adjusted, repeat procedure from beginning. Be sure to give oil time to settle.
  6. While the oil level display is visible, press and hold the SPEED CONTROL CANCEL button for more than 5 seconds. See Fig 1.
  7. The oil volume shown on the display will be written into the ECU as a new value.
