DTC P1783-68: Transmission OVERTEMPERATURE Condition - Event Information: Action

NOTE: The Gear Selector Sensor Calibration routine must be performed after installing a new automatic transmission or transmission control module, or after removing and installing the existing transmission control module.

Refer to the relevant section of the service information and check the automatic transmission fluid level
Refer to the relevant section of the service information and check the automatic transmission fluid condition. Refer to Pinpoint Test D in the automatic transmission Diagnosis and Testing section of the service information and proceed as directed
Check the automatic transmission cooling system for obstruction/damage/blockage
Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault persists, install a new automatic transmission
