Ignition Coil
The Bosch ME 7.2 Engine Management System (EMS) uses plug top coils which are mounted directly on top of each spark plug. See Fig 1. Ignition related faults are indirectly monitored via misfire detection. There are no specific checks of the primary and secondary circuits.
