Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Position cloth under modulator unit to catch brake fluid spillage. Disconnect electrical connectors from modulator.
  2. Disconnect 2 inlet brakelines from pump side of modulator. Disconnect 4 outlet brakelines from top of modulator. See Fig 1 . Plug hose and pump openings. Loosen 3 nuts holding modulator to mounting bracket. Release and remove modulator from mounting bracket.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . To ensure correct operation, ABS system must be tested using Land Rover TestBook.
