CONDITION SUMMARY

SLOW ACCELERATION FROM A STANDING START

Situation:  With the engine at normal operating temperature, a customer may report a concern of an intermittent hesitation when accelerating from a standing start. This situation is most likely to be experienced in very hot ambient temperatures.

The acceleration can recover when engine speed exceeds approximately 2000 rpm or after a few seconds/feet of travel.

Action:  Should a customer express a concern, refer to the REPAIR PROCEDURE  detailed in this bulletin to re-configure the Engine Control Module (ECM) using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).
