Idle Speed Control Actuator Description

The ECM controls the engine idle speed based on various engine/vehicle operating conditions. See Fig 1 .

There is one Idle Speed Control Actuator functional check, a fault is detected if:

1. The enabling conditions are satisfied and the actual engine speed differs from the desired engine speed by more than 100 RPM.
