Bosch ME7.2 EMS DTC P0442 - LDP Leak Detection Fault: Last Occurrence - Minimum Signal: Check

  1. Small Fuel Vapor Leak

    There is a fault with the leak detection system. A number of faults can occur with the leak detection system. Check for the following:

    CLAMPED TUBE

    1. Check electrical connections to the leak detection pump.
    2. Check the leak detection system for blocked tubes.
    3. Check that the leak detection pump is working correctly.

    FUEL VAPOR LEAKS

    1. Check the fuel vapor paths for leaks.
    2. A small leak is between 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm in diameter.
    3. A large leak is greater than 1.0 mm in diameter.
