Selector Cable: Adjust
- Remove underbelly panel. See UNDERBELLY PANEL
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Loosen trunnion nut securing inner cable to selector lever. See Fig 1
. Move gear change lever into Park position. Move selector lever on gearbox fully clockwise to engage Park position.
- Pull inner cable as far forward as possible, then release. This will remove any backlash from the cable. Tighten trunnion nut to 6 Nm (4 lbf.ft).
- Fit underbelly panel. See UNDERBELLY PANEL
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Move selector lever through its working arc from Park to "2" position and back to Park. Check that all gear positions are correctly selected.
- Check that the engine will start in Park and Neutral positions and is inhibited when drive positions are selected.
