Tire Pressure Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove tire and wheel assembly from vehicle.
    2. CAUTION: To avoid damage to tire pressure sensor, release the tire bead from the rim, 180 degrees from the valve.
  2. Dismount tire from wheel following tire changer manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Remove valve from wheel and collect washer.
  4. Carefully remove tire pressure sensor from rim. See Fig 1.
    CAUTION: If sensor has been removed, the complete valve must be replaced.
