Throttle Cable Adjustment: Freelander

Remove engine acoustic cover. Disconnect air intake hose from acoustic cover. Disconnect air intake hose and air by-pass hose from throttle body. Release 2 acoustic cover fasteners connected to left cylinder head. Release acoustic cover retaining strap. Remove acoustic cover. See Fig 1 . Ensure throttle cable is properly routed. Release throttle cable adjustment nut from bracket. See Fig 2 . Hold throttle cam fully closed. Rotate adjusting nut until slack is taken out of throttle cable. See Fig 3 . Ensure throttle does not open. Install throttle cable adjustment nut into bracket. Operate throttle and ensure throttle travel is sufficient. Connect air intake hose and air by-pass hose. Install engine acoustic cover.
