Range Rover
Body Electrical Control Module (BECM) controls front and rear power windows. Power windows are operated using switches located in center console or in each rear door. A rear window isolation switch, located between center console window switches, is used to cancel rear window operation using rear door switches. Operation of front windows is controlled by BECM via outstations located in each front door and center console switch pack. When a center console switch is pressed for front window operation, center console outstation inputs information to BECM. The BECM outputs an appropriate command signal, via serial data bus, to operate front windows as requested. Rear windows are controlled directly by BECM which responds to operation of either rear window switch. Front windows have a ONE-TOUCH operating mode for opening or closing. Front and rear window systems have an ANTI-TRAP function to prevent injury to driver or passengers when windows are closing.
