Anti-Theft Systems: Programming: RESYNCHRONIZATION
NOTE:
Transmitter resynchronization cannot be accomplished if transmitter batteries need replacement. If anti-theft system is operating properly, passive immobilization feature will reprogram code using passive coil and remote transmitter when ignition key is inserted into ignition switch.
- Theft alarm remote transmitters will remain synchronized with BECM unless batteries are removed for more than 60 seconds or if vehicle's battery is disconnected. Whenever vehicle's battery is disconnected, all remote transmitters must be resynchronized.
- To resynchronize remote transmitter, perform a key lock or unlock on either front door within 30 seconds of performing a remote lock, superlock or unlock function. BECM uses change of state of Central Door Locking (CDL) switch to initiate resynchronization. Emergency Key Access (EKA) code procedure must be used to resynchronize remote transmitter if anti-theft system is active. See EMERGENCY KEY ACCESS .
