Wheel Speed Sensor: Installation

Install NEW sensor bushing and seal. Apply Loctite No. 270 to brake jump hose bracket bolts and install bracket and bolts. Coat wheel speed sensor with gear oil and install wheel speed sensor into sensor bushing. Push wheel speed sensor into bushing until it contacts exciter ring. Wheel speed sensor air gap will be adjusted when vehicle is driven and wheel speed sensor is pushed out. Reconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector and harness to original position. Road test vehicle ensuring that ABS warning light operates properly. See ABS FUNCTION TEST under TROUBLE SHOOTING.

Wheel speed sensor air gap will be adjusted when vehicle is driven and wheel speed sensor is pushed out. Reconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector and harness to original position.
