Off Road Navigation: Co-Ordinates

LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE  - Latitude and longitude denotes a position as up to 90 degrees for North and South of the equator (up to the poles, which are 90 degrees North and 90 degrees South; the equator is 0 degrees) for latitude and up to 180 degrees East and West of the prime meridian, which is 0 degrees longitude. The prime meridian passes through Greenwich, England. Each degree of latitude and longitude can be divided into 60 minutes (60'). Each minute of latitude and longitude can be divided into 60 seconds (60"). It is also possible to express each minute as decimals. Therefore it will be possible to display latitude and longitude in two formats:

Where D represents the degrees, M represents the minutes and S represents the seconds.
