Check transmission position switch continuity in all lever positions. See TESTING TRANSMISSION POSITION SWITCH (RANGE ROVER)  table. If switch continuity is okay, check the ground signal circuits for "X", "Y" and "Z" switches between transmission position switch 6-pin connector terminals No. 1 (Blue/Black wire), No. 2 (Blue/Purple wire) and No. 3 (Blue/Green wire), and BECM Black 20-pin connector terminals No. 8 (Blue/Black wire), No. 9 (Blue/Purple wire) and No. 18 (Blue/Green wire). Switch "X" is at terminal No. 1. Switch "Y" is at terminal No. 2. Switch "Z" is at terminal No. 3. Repair as necessary.
