Anti-Theft Systems: Programming: RESYNCHRONIZATION

NOTE: Transmitter resynchronization cannot be accomplished if the vehicle anti-theft system is armed or transmitter batteries need replacement.

Theft alarm remote transmitters will remain synchronized with BECM unless batteries are removed for more than 60 seconds or if vehicle's battery is disconnected. Whenever vehicle's battery is disconnected, all remote transmitters must be resynchronized.
To resynchronize remote transmitter, perform a key lock or unlock on either front door within 30 seconds of performing a remote lock, superlock or unlock function. BECM uses change of state of Central Door Locking (CDL) switch to initiate resynchronization.
