Steering Wheel: Installation
- Ensure the wheels are in the straight ahead position.
- Place the steering wheel on the column splines and remove the previously applied adhesive tape to the spiral cassette.
- Ensure the 2 drive pegs on the upper part of the cassette align with their respective location holes on the bottom of the steering wheel, ease the steering wheel onto the pegs. See Fig 1
.
- Install the nut and washer and tighten to 38 N.m (28 ft. lbs.).
- Reconnect the cruise control multi-plug and install the steering wheel center cover.
- Reconnect the battery.
